JOB SUMMARY:
The Vinyl Wrap Installer is responsible for the application of high-quality vinyl wraps to NASCAR series vehicles, ensuring precise fitment, durability, and an impeccable finish. This role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and an understanding of the unique requirements of race car graphics. The installer will work closely with the design and fabrication teams to meet strict deadlines while maintaining the team’s professional image on and off the track.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply vinyl wraps, decals, and graphics to NASCAR race cars, transporters, pit equipment, and related team assets.
- Ensure proper surface preparation, alignment, and application to achieve a flawless and professional finish.
- Perform trimming, heating, and contouring of vinyl materials to accommodate vehicle body lines and aerodynamic features.
- Maintain consistency in branding, sponsor placement, and graphic quality across all team vehicles.
- Collaborate with the design and print team to ensure correct material selection and color matching.
- Inspect wraps for defects, wrinkles, air bubbles, or misalignments and make necessary corrections.
- Remove old vinyl wraps and prepare surfaces for new applications while avoiding damage to the vehicle.
- Work efficiently within production schedules and race deadlines to meet delivery requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring proper care and storage of vinyl materials and tools.
- Stay updated on best practices, industry techniques, and new materials for vehicle wraps.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Proven experience in vinyl wrap application, preferably in motorsports or automotive graphics.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in alignment, trimming, and finish quality.
- Ability to work with various vinyl materials, including cast, calendared, and specialty films.
- Familiarity with heat guns, squeegees, knives, and other wrap application tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with designers, fabricators, and mechanics.
- Basic understanding of NASCAR series vehicle bodies and aerodynamic considerations is a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Body shop or racing experience preferred
- Knowledge of work on carbon fiber is a plus
- Knowledge of decal application required
PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged kneeling, bending, and standing
- Comfortable with being outdoors in different temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Position needs to occasionally move to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Ability to lift and maneuver large vinyl sheets and work on vehicles in different positions for extended periods.
