Spire Motorsports UNOH 200 Race Report 2026

Spire Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series team kicked off their hunt for the 2026 Owners' Championship in Friday evening's UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. The No. 7 and No. 77 teams entered the first of seven races in The Chase seeded fourth and eighth, respectively. Tristan McKee, fresh off capturing the 2026 ARCA Menards Series East championship, led the team with a fifth-place finish. Connor Mosack was involved in an early incident, limiting him to a 25th-place result. The No. 77 team vaulted to fourth in The Chase standings - 17 markers behind third - while the No. 7 team sits sixth, a mere six points behind.

McKee, driver of the No. 77 RCA Chevrolet Silverado, started 4th when rain washed out Thursday afternoon’s qualifying session. The 16-year-old driver maintained top-10 track position throughout the evening, snagging sixth- and 10th-place results in Stage 1 and Stage 2, respectively. After restarting eighth with just under 40 laps remaining, McKee drove to the fifth position, securing his first-career CRAFTSMAN Truck Series top five and becoming the youngest top-five finisher in CRAFTSMAN Truck Series history at 16 years, one month and 14 days old. Mosack started 22nd in the No. 7 Friends of Jaclyn Chevrolet Silverado. Early contact to the outside retaining wall early in Stage 1 caused the Charlotte, N.C., native to fall one lap down in Stage 1. The team worked to improve the No. 7 Silverado's balance and regain track position throughout the evening, including benefiting from the wave around to get return to the lead lap. Unfortunately, a flat right-rear tire with 47 laps remaining forced the team back to pit road under green-flag conditions. Mosack was ultimately scored in the 25th position.

The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Chase continues next Saturday, Sept. 26 at Kansas Speedway. The Race to Stop Suicide 200 will be televised live on FS1 at 1 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The 19th of 25 races on the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series calendar, and second of seven Chase races, will also be broadcast live on the NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

“Overall, it was a pretty tough night for us. We had a solid truck and practiced on our long run. With qualifying getting canceled, we started deep in the field in 22nd. I thought the track would widen out pretty quickly but got into some loose stuff in one and two and hit the wall. We had enough damage to ruin our night and not recover from it. We will hit the reset button and look forward to Charlotte.”
