Spire Motorsports Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150 Powered by POET Race Report 2026
By PGORDON
In Friday evening’s Zero Carbon Bioethanol 150 Powered by POET at Phoenix Raceway, Spire Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series No. 7 and 77 teams with Connor Mosack and Tristan McKee finished 11th and 14th, respectively. The No. 77 team is eighth in The Chase owner standings while the No. 7 team sits ninth.
Mosack, behind the wheel of the No. 7 Friends of Jaclyn Chevrolet Silverado, started 10th but an inconsistent balance throughout Stage 1 and Stage 2 caused the driver to fall to 17th. The Mooresville, N.C., native gained six positions in the Final Stage to claim an 11th-place finish. McKee, driver of the No. 77 Tecovas Chevrolet Silverado RST, qualified seventh for Friday’s event. The 16-year-old driver battled a lack of rear grip throughout the evening. He slipped to 15th at the close of the opening segment, and was unable to recover the lost track position. He ultimately took the checkered flag in the 14th position.
The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Chase continues next Friday, Oct. 23 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. The Love’s RV Stop 225 will be televised live on FS1 at 4 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The 22nd of 25 races on the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series calendar, and fifth of seven Chase races, will also be broadcast live on the NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
“Overall, nothing special for us tonight. We just kind of struggled to find grip the whole race, made some gains at the end there. I think the track cooling down definitely helped us, but overall, the Friends of Jaclyn Chevrolet just needed a little bit more speed. I appreciate the guys working on it all race and getting us the best we were there at the end and with a few more laps, we probably could have come home in the top 10. We were just a little too late, but we learned some things to take to Homestead and help us close out the year strong.”
“Tough night for us tonight. Chad (Walter) and the No. 77 guys kept working on it all night, we just couldn’t get it where we wanted. Thanks to Tecovas, our truck Silverado looked really good. Looking forward to Martinsville in a couple weeks.“
