Spire Motorsports Ecosave 200 Race Report 2026

By PGORDON

In Saturday's Race to Stop Suicide 200 at Kansas Speedway, Spire Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series No. 77 and 7 teams with Rajah Caruth and Connor Mosack finished 31st and 33rd, respectively. The No. 77 team is sixth in The Chase owner standings while the No. 7 team sits ninth.

Caruth qualified fourth in the No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado RST, but battled a tight-handling condition and slipped to seventh at the end of Stage 1. Following some adjustments during the ensuing stage break, the Washington, D.C., native closed the second segment fourth. Caruth restarted second and settled into the third position until green-flag pit stops commenced with just under 40 laps remaining. After the No. 77 team left pit road, a caution flag trapped the 24-year-old driver one-lap down. Caruth returned to the lead lap via the wave around, but was forced to restart 25th. In the matter of seven laps, the two-time CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Most Popular Driver advanced to 14th when a caution was displayed with 22 laps remaining. Unfortunately, contact initiated from a competitor triggered a multi-truck incident, ending Caruth's night with a 31st-place result. Connor Mosack, driver of the No. 7 PurePEX Chevrolet Silverado, earned the pole for Fridays’s Ecosave 200 and led laps before settling into fifth at the end of Stage One. The Mooresville, N.C., native restarted fourth in Stage 2 and finished 11th after battling a tight-handling Silverado, then gained ground on pit road to restart sixth for the final stage. Mosack was running fourth when contact with another truck on Lap 87 caused front-left fender damage, and after reporting a vibration and later splitter damage, he was collected in an incident while trying to avoid a spinning truck on a late restart, ending his night with a 33rd-place finish.

The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Chase heads to Phoenix Raceway next Friday Friday, Oct. 16. The 150-lap event will be televised live on FS1 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The 21st of 25 races on the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series calendar, and fourth of seven Chase races, will also be broadcast live on the NASCAR Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

“We had a really good PurePEX Chevrolet Silverado in the beginning, and we were able to start from the pole and lead a couple laps. We were fighting the balance throughout the race, but we were making adjustments and working our way forward. Unfortunately, we got caught up in an incident toward the end while trying to avoid a spinning truck, which ended our night.”

“Our No. 77 Chevrolet Silverado was super fast tonight. We were third before the green flag cycle, then caution came out right after we left pit road. We were making our way back to the front and got caught up in something we couldn't avoid. You have to be aggressive to run up front, but it can bite you. Thank you to everyone at Spire Motorsports and Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), it was really good to be back in one of their trucks. I really wanted to get a good result for the Busch family tonight as we celebrate both Kyle and the history of KBM.”
