Rajah Caruth, D.C. native, will pilot the No. 71 Chevrolet in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). Caruth will run a full-time schedule with Spire Motorsports in the 2024 season, embarking on his second consecutive year in the series.
Caruth, who ran for GMS Racing in his full-time Truck Series debut in 2023, compiled 4 top 10s and a 16th place finish in overall point standings. Caruth also piloted 11 races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series(NXS) with Alpha Prime Racing, which included a 12th place finish at Martinsville Speedway. Caruth finished out his 2023 NXS season with Hendrick Motorsports at Phoenix Raceway, finishing 14th.
Rajah Caruth became the first driver from a majority iRacing background to be selected for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. He is a product of the eNASCAR Ignite Series – a grassroots youth racing platform that identifies drivers without access to traditional racetracks around the world.

Veteran crew chief Chad Walter calls the effort for Spire Motorsports’ No. 71 NASCAR CRAFTFSMAN Truck Series team with driver Rajah Caruth. Walter has over two decades of experience and began his career with Hendrick Motorsports in 1996. The Albion, New York native has also served in engineering and crew chief roles for some of NASCAR’s most distinguished teams including Dale Earnhardt Inc., Penske Racing, Richard Childress Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing. Some of his most notable accomplishments include a pair of Daytona 500 victories (2001 & 2003) with Michael Waltrip, along with Cup Series wins with Steve Park and Terry Labonte.
