INVENTORY PARTS RUNNER

 

JOB SUMMARY:


The Parts Runner/Counter Person is responsible for customer service to internal customers at our parts counter. In addition, this role will transport parts and materials internally as well as to various vendors/customers and other locations ensuring timely delivery and maintaining an organized workflow.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist in the organization and tracking of inventory, ensuring parts are correctly logged and stored. Making sure before delivery all inventory being transported is issued and orders closed
  • Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and ensure accurate documentation. Prepare and dispatch outgoing shipments according to schedule
  • Unload and stock received materials
  • Delivery and shipping of parts and other materials to customers as needed
  • Keep the parts area(s) clean, organized, and safe. Implement and maintain efficient storage systems to optimize space utilization
  • Inspect parts and materials for accuracy and quality before delivery, reporting any discrepancies or damages. Recording deliveries through pictures and BOL (Bill of Lading)
  • Store parts in designated area and issue parts to service department/customers as needed
  • Delivering parts to internal customers as needed
  • Managing inventory and ensuring proper stocking
  • Moving vehicles as needed
  • Following traffic laws while on the road
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending stooping
  • Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities

 

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills required
